That is a good development. It feels good that the govt is also considering Baripada as the place for dairy college. I think some thing should happen at Phulbani as it is the place without any major educational institution.
Secondly why should not we have a dedicated research institute for marine aqua culture on the lines of CIFA, Kaushlyaganga. We have such a vast coastal belt and a lot of prawn is getting produced and exported, though in a very native manner.

This is again a very good news for sambalpur. Government should open the new Veterinary, Animal Husbandry and Fishering University in chipilima, sambalpur. To utilize the largest artificial lake of word (hirakud) and to R&D in fishery science,There is a scope of forestry science in this region(A huge forest area). And there is a lot of land in chipilima under Ouat.so land issue is also no arise.
In my point of view ouat should open b.tech(agri) & mba (agri business) in sambalpur campus as there is a lot of scope of agriculture in this area.

The College of Fisheries at Berhampur is languishing with utter neglect and the Dairy college proposed long ago is not in sight. With industrial development not picking up momentum in south orissa, neglecting the agricultural sector will be suicidal. A branch campus of OUAT is required at Berhampur and the state chief Minister has agreed on this on several occassions.
