Sickle Cell Disease Research Centre started functioning in Sardar Raja Medical College, Jaring in Kalahandi

Following is an excerpt from a report in New Indian Express on this.
To combat sickle cell disease, a Sickle Cell Disease Research Centre has started functioning in Sardar Raja Medical College in Jaring of Kalahandi district under the leadership of project director Dr. Gyana Ranjan Padhi.
Padhi, a medicine specialist, after retiring from health Department services joined the medical college recently. He hails from Dasigaon of Kalahandi.

Thanks for your information.My research project on PREVENTION OF SICKLE CELL DISEASE BY DTN FORMULA OF GENETIC COUNSELING AND TREATMENT BY HYDROXYUREA AND CLOTRIMAZOLE THERAPY has been presented by me on dt.22-11-2007. in the video conference arranged by NIC New-Delhi. On that day Dr.D Patel was also present.The discussusion was lively and the C.D.M.O specialists of 30 districts of Orissa urged to the Principal Secretary to Govt. Healthr & F.W.Department Sri Chinmaya Vasu IAS to implement it all over Orissa.T his research project has mentioned a method adopting which the next generation will be saved from dreaded DISEASE cases This research project has been accepted by ICMR New-Delhi and now it is in the process of placing me funds.I had requested OMSA ptrsident to help me to implement at Western Orissa,unfortunately he has not taken any step.Now NRHM has placed me funds through Collector, Kalahandi to start at this tribal District.I hope you will help me to implement all over Orissa.I am behind this research project since 1994.After my retirement from Govt service I have been placed as the Director of the research centre Sardar Rajas Medical college ,Hospital and Research centre,Jaring,Dist-Kalahandi continuing it all over Orissa.Hope we will work to-gather for the benefit of the community.
