Ravenshaw will start five year integrated M.Sc program from July 2007

Ravenshaw vice chanceelor Devdas Chhotray has acted very fast on the news regarding the 1 lakh/yr scholarships for integrated M.Sc students. He has announced that Ravenshaw will start five year integrated M.Sc program from July 2007. This is reported in Sambada.

the admission notice for the 2007-08 session is out. no mention of integrated M.Sc and other innovative courses though.

Integrated M. Sc. is a good idea. NISER is also offering integrated MSc in physical and life science. It will be better if the intake is through an open entrance test. May be college can admit through NEST of Homi Bhabha NIS. Also introducing courses like biotech and mathematic of computations will help to attract good students.

why it five years to do M.Sc physics with dual degree &B.E.(Hons) branches take only four years &why M.Sc students have delayed placements

If the US system is followed, as many are trying, soon it may take 4 years to do B.Sc in science subjects.
