17+1 New Engineering Colleges in Orissa that are admitting students this year through BPUT counseling

Update on August 31, 2008: Subas institute of Technology, Barang starts admitting students from August 29th in the OSGE (Outside state general) category.

Respected Prof. Baral,
I need to get my doubts cleared about the newly inducted “Bhubanewar Engineering College, Khurda.”
Many months ago ur website provided an information that a group of highly experienced NRO professors of USA are going to establish an institute, “Bhubaneswar Institute Of Technology” somewhere near Khandagiri in Bhubaneswar.
I was really interested to admit my son to that institute keeping in view the credibility, the expertise, the efficiency of the group of NRO professors, hoping that the same will churn out highly skilled and talented engineers.
What i want to get clarified that ,is the “Bhubaneswar Engg. College” the same as “Bhubaneswar Institute Of Technology” set up by the NROs?
Ur kind cooperation will certainly to do a lot to shape my child”s future,

Bhubaneswar Institute of Technology (BIT) is different from Bhubaneswar Engineering College. BIT, which is being made by several NRO professors, has not completed its construction and hence does not yet have AICTE approval. The apprval may come this year, but it is not clear if it will start classes this year.
Among the new colleges that are opening this year and the ones that opened last year, I think Templecity and Centurion may turn out to be good ones. About the others I do not have enough knowledge to make a guess.

I found out Apex is being run by the people who run NIST. based on how well NIST has turned out APEX could turn out to be a very good college. Their web site is http://apexorissa.com/ .

the government of the state of orissa declred an engg. college at Berhampur but this college is n’t in d list of new engg. colleges. Is this not true ?

Dear Sir,
A candidate admitted through AIEEE-2008 Counselling of BPUT ..can again appear in OJee counselling or not If he/she has qualified in OJee exam and called for cunselling..
He/She will have to again pay the counselling amount.
