The faculty ad starts as follows:
IIT Bhubaneswar (Orissa) invites applications for faculty positions at the level of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in the following disciplines.
Disciplines : Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Humanities & Social Sciences (Economics, English, Psychology)
This suggests that next year they will admit students in Computer Science, in addition to Civil, Electrical and Mechanical to which they admitted students this year.

It is good that they are looking for Computer Science faculty too.
We must upgrade the IITBBSR website too sometime in the not too distant future (and create a similar one for Vedanta University?).

A few days back IIT, Hyd’ had come out with an advertisement seeking faculty members….good to see IIT, Bhuv. is close on the heels……..

Sanjoy: Lets wait till the location is approved by the central govt. If the location at Argul near Khurda Rd is approved then we will have to make a lot of changes.
We don’t need a page on Vedanta University now. But we may consider having a page that puts all of Bhubaneswar area’s “knowledge” attributes together.

I think so too. We’ll wait until the IIT BBR plans are more concrete. It was a little disappointing that student didn’t chose IIT BBSR over the other new IITs, despite the advantages.
Yes, a Bhubaneswar knowledge city website would be a really good idea.

Its nice to hard about IIT, Bhubaneswar. Although it advertised for the faculty positions in engineering decipline it should also advertise and open department in Bioinformatics. As it is more often IT descipline and less biology.
