Silicon Institute of Technology making a campus in Sambalpur

Silicon Institute of Technology, perhaps the best private engineering college under BPUT and among the top 5 engineering colleges under BPUT is making a campus in Sambalpur that is expected to start in 2009. It will be most likely called as: Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur.
This campus will be located few kms away from Sambalpur on the Sambalpur-Jharsuguda highway.
This campus will have some of the the traditional branches, such as Civil Engineering, which are not there in the Bhubaneswar campus.

It is nice to know.We have vey few colleges in western Orissa compare to other parts .as there Industries are now booming we may need more and more technical institutes .

This is a very good and exemplary step taken by SILICON. I wish others to follow soon. We should have more engineering colleges in the Burla-Sambalpur Jharsuguda area. This will boost the confidence of the kids of that region.

This news is like a whiff of fresh air in midst of polluting thermal power plants. Now the big corporate houses in this region should come forward. There is Orissa beyond Bhubaneswar.
