Knowledge transfer mechanisms need to be put in place,or if existing, need to be fine tuned to bridge the knowledge gap
that exists between traditional farming and 21st century farming.
There is a huge gap that exists within India itself.I have created a few charts and put them in the below blog so that these figures can have a visual representation. We are way behind from states such Punjab and Haryana in agriculture productivity.Merely pushing the agriculture productivity up will have the potential of doubling per capita income for our rural folks in a short order.Current administration appears to be doing an admirable job as far as getting private investment is concerned. But same zeal to provide a push to agriculture is sadly missing.
Orissa Govt. needs to tie up with Other state govt and national govt such as Israel, US, Egypt, Brazil to to get itself trained in
sophisticated agricultural practices and then pass that training
to it’s farmers through various training programmes.Orissa must be pro-active in these matters.
