For an architect, it is always challenging to incorporate elements of local art and culture into modern day structures. But, if the words of leading health-care planner and architect with ‘Perkins+Wills’ Nick Seierup are to be believed, the interiors of the proposed Vedanta University Hospital on Puri-Konark Marine Drive would be an example of amalgamation of ethnicity and modernity keeping in mind local needs and aesthetics.
…‘‘As an institution of inter-disciplinary studies the proposed design of the six-storeyed structure will have an ultra modern look and will equip the students and researchers of the medical facility to have enough space for interactive learning through open-air or enclosed surroundings with eco-friendly atmosphere’’, he added.

Will the big and mighty allow this to happen in Orissa? Ours’ is a state where big and mighty who can send their children to abroad or to institutes and universities of repute out side Orissa for the higher education, and get them treated with best medical facilities are envy for this kind of development. Because, they see in it scope for their loss of domination on common people. They like the common people of their state remain ever backwards so that they and their siblings will rule them for ever and use them as their family servant at a very less cost. This kind of attitude is partly there because of our outdated cultural practice. See for example: if there are no beggars how then any body be a danni or doner. This mental block has to be given up for the all round development of the race, region, society, culture and even religion. Every thing has to be seen with modern prospective. Then only a nation or a state can grow matching with other on the high road of development and progress with dignity and respect. Here, I want to remind all who matter on this issue that a mighty respect to mighty, not to a weak or loser. So if one race or region want to get respect from others then that needs to grow to that level by its own effort. So, see the reason in right prospective and think and grow! Think for all.

THE VEDANTA’S PLAN FOR SETTING UP A HOSPITAL AND UNIVERSITY IS PRAISE WORTHY STEP. ORISSA NEED A LOT OF WORK IN DEVELOPING INFRASTRUCTURE. BUT IN ORISSA THE NEED OF PUBLIC HEALTH INFRASTRUCTURE AND SERVICE NEED TO BE PONDERED OVER. ORISSA SHOULD IMPROVE ITS HEALTH STANDARD AND ENTERPRISE LIKE VENDANT SHOULD COME FORWARD IN THIS DIRECTION.
