- Editor’s Comment June 28 2005: Some of the topics the vocational institutes should focus on are: (a) Use of the heavy machinaries used in excavation, road building etc. Earlier these were done mostly manually. Now many of the new contractors building NH and GQ use heavy equipments and more and more Oriya vocationals should learn how to use them. (b) Western style plumbing and building/home finishing: The plumbing and home finishing standards in most of India and Orissa is really terrible. We should produce trained plumbers and masonaries who can do quality plumbing and home finishing.
