10 Ekalavya model residential schools in Orissa

A press release mentions that the UPA government has opened 72 Ekalavya Vidyalayas in tribal areas across India. 10 of those are in Orissa. Each is constructed using an one time allocation of 250 lakhs towards school building, hostels, teachers’ quarters, library, laboratory etc. An annual grant of 30 lakhs is then given to run the school.

A delayed but right decission, for tribal area developement and for enhancing education not only in orissa but also other tribal areas like Jharkhand and other places in India.

Government should take the responsibility towards tribals about their education.

The UPA governent has taken a right decission.The schools should be regularize so that there will be all round development of the tribal students.
