    If not realised by now then the center must start thinking of a damage control exercise before Election.
    Orissa as a strong hold of Congress once is no more under its clutch to take for granted.
    There has been politics without ethics and principles over setting up IIT in Orissa since the establishment of first IIT in the country.

    The prestige and dignity of Orissa will not let her people accept a NISER in lieu of an IIT which had already been declared.

    If India needs to compete with China in terms of technical education then the MHRD is expected to shoulder a greater responsibility of expanding technical institutes of excellence by way of number and distribution.
    No one will be unhappy to see IIT’s in all states of India but it’s most unfortunate to observe politics over institutes of learning.

    How do we ensure quality education without politics when we enforce politics at the inception?
