Hinjilicut is much closer to Berhampur than BBSR is to Cuttack and Sambalpur to Burla. But, strangely the State Govt. so far has not taken interest in the merger of Hinjilicut in Berhampur Municipal Corporation. I think by the census 2011 we have to build public opinion in favour of building a greater Berhampur that includes Hinjilicut. Also some District Offices could be shifted from Chatrapur to Hinjilicut as both these towns will be under BMC and it will help in the expansion of Berhampur city towards Aska.
