Pune has a restaurant that serves Oriya Cusine. Following is an excerpt from a review in Expressindia.com.
Hotel Sunrise
USP: The Oriya sea foodWith hardly any places to eat out at Hinjewadi, the hub of Pune’s IT development, Hotel Sunrise that threw its doors open on January 17 this year, seems to have found just the niche it was looking for. Located in Phase II, the restaurant has yet another USP that should make food lovers seek it out-Oriya food. ‘‘There is no place in Pune that offers Oriya seafood the way we do-with complete authenticity,’’ says Manoj Patil, an FCI graduate, who put together the place that is already catering to a steady stream of IT professionals trooping into its ample premises.
So for those who’d like to have a taste of something different, try this out – Dalma served in an earthern pot, Mach Jhol, Potal Bhaja, Chinguro Bhaja, Tawa Roll, Muttom Kasa, Kebabs and Matka Dum Biryani.
Simple, uncluttered interiors, with 80 covers including a large garden area and a family room, make the place an ideal one for both a cosy meal or a large party. And despite the lip-smacking cuisine the prices are most reasonable too. So check it out.

I have been getting through a news that we lost our Rososgola to Bengalis Now its time to popularise Chhenapoda.Actually it is not that how your culture, food or places are great and exotic , these all would be adored and most visited if you could campaign for it sufficiently. Now though Rososgola has Odia Origin still around globe people knew this king of sweet is gift of Bengalis to the world.Really credit goes to them as they made it popular. And we went nowhere.Another fact is, Not Bharatnatyam Odissi is the oldest classical dance of India. It is well proven. But Tamil people are far ahead to feel proud for their classical dance. And people knew that is oldest dance in India. If in Tourism Odisha lagging it does not mean that Odia did not have good places to visit. Its all how we mantain our place, because every place is unique and each culture can make other to be fascinated. If now Rajasthan or Kerala is most popular among tourists then actually they must be best place in natural aspect. This is one wrong perception. But there is no doubt in it that they must have been ahead in marketing of their lands. Then our food ,our places why would be lagged!!!!it is up to us.

Maybe we odias are a bit late but nothing is lost at all. One must understand history to know why odias are waking up late. The fact remains that the Odia pride was never felt as other states had developments happening much ahead. Like we got back Jaydev we will get back the Rasogola. The Odia food will soon catch the fancy of Indians outside. All we have to do is stop cursing ourseleves and stop indulging in self pity.

Kalinga now is a very small food joint with no space for sitting. But it serves good food and the sweets are awesome. I find some good typical Oriya dishes there.
