One more step towards Bhubaneswar-Cuttack integration: city bus service encompassing both to be introduced soon

cuttack is a old city and it was the capital of orissa….but after declaration of new capital(bbsr) our oriisa govt is only devloping the capital town…..nor other towns. govt have to devlop cuttack city too…..because till now every people of orissa 1st prefering cuttack town for there any problems.

now ctc-bbsr is a twin city.so govt have to devlop both the city as per same service..now city busses are running in bbsr but not in cuttack. so in every case govt only giving service to bbsr..nor other cites like ctc.

Excellent step by the govt. But why this happened only after High Court ruled in favour? Why Cuttack feels that as if it is the step child of the state govt. Even now the millenium city houses Orissa High Court, Orissa Police Headquarters, Orissa Public Service Commission, Commissioner, Commercial Taxes, Board of Revenue, Central Rice Research Institute, Almost all the Sports Associations, Registrar of Companies, Debt Recovery Tribunal, State Commission, Consumer litigation, Central Administrative Tribunal, Orissa Judicial Academy, Directors of Animal & Husbandry, Fishery, Technical Education, Printing and Publication, All India Radio (Orissa-central station)and now the NLUO to name a few. In stead of developing the city the state govt. is not thinking in positive manner. Its not at all a distance of 20 KM in comparison to metros in India even.
This is unfortunate.

If the high court has to intervene for city buses in Cuttack, which is a part of the state capital region, when can one expect public transport in cities like Berhampur, Rourkela and Sambalpur? State Govt should n’t wait for the high court to remind it about the need of city buses in other towns.

The High court had to intervene in introduction of city bus services in Cuttack because the city bus service is running by provision of funds from the JNNURM scheme of GoI. Unfortunately the GoI has not included Cuttack as a city under the JNNURM scheme. From Orissa, only Bhubaneswar and Puri have been included in the list, and it is these two cities which were provided with buses for running of city bus service.
With the Hon’ble High Court’s order, the state govt had to extend the services beyond BMC limits into CMC limits.
Though I have to say this desperately limits the total number of buses available to Bhubaneswar, which is already seems like it will eat up the 100buses that were initially allotted, especially with the number or routes increasing at a rapid pace.

can there be a place where i can get official routes of all the bus services of dream teamsahara in both bbsr/cuttack/puri/khurda?

I thnk d state govt has promised 2 develope bbsr not cuttack,but it shld remind dat maxm ppl frm mny dst of odisha dpnds on ctc rather than bbsr,frm ctc comunicn iz easy 2 all parts of d state..
