The proposed projects are welcome. But, isn’t it amazing that the state government thinks that a city like Berhampur can come later on all issues, be it bus stands under PPP or city bus services? It is a fact that according to Orissa Govt Transport department, Berhampur is the second biggest bus originating point in Orissa (that handles close to 1200 buses daily)and caters to all interior districts of south and central Orissa. At one point Berhampur prided itself for state run Orissa Road Transport Corp. (ORT) headquarter at Berhampur (Which was later merged to form OSRTC) and There were State run Road Trains (multiple buses) between Berhampur and Gopalpur. Now all that is gone and more worrying is that the state Government’s underestimation of Berhampur on all issues. This is unfair for a city which is a hope for an otherwise backward region of India. Is it necessary that everything will come here only after a hue and cry and cries of discrimination. Construct as many projects across Orissa, it is welcome, but ignoring some deserving places are intriguing.

are those looking like Bus terminal!!!It seems like for sake of getting money one has drawn full nonsense thing what more look like shooing complex and apartments or much to my fear copy and paste some already done ideas.And for God’s sake do not say that the design being displayed here are claimed by authority that would be materialized soon.

Bus terminal at Berhampur also needs to be developed as soon as possible. Hopefully the govt does have some plans in that regard.
As for the marketing and residential complexes in the same land, remember this is a PPP project. There has to be a revenue generation mechanism for the project too, as the private party which will build and run the terminal for a certain number o years needs to get certain return on its investment too. The commercial and residential establishment ensures that.
